On November 19, Xinhua News Agency reported that the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Office for Spiritual Civilization Construction, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the All-China Women's Federation, and the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission recently issued a notice on the selection and commendation of the 9th National Moral Model. The full text is as follows:
Since 2007, the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Civilization Office, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the All-China Women's Federation, and the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission have held a national moral model selection and commendation event every two years, vigorously cultivating and practicing socialist core values, fully demonstrating the exemplary role of moral models, promoting traditional Chinese virtues, nurturing new trends and appearances of the times, continuously improving people's ideological awareness, moral standards, and civilized qualities, striving to be practitioners of noble morality, maintainers of civilized customs, and creators of a better life, forming a strong social atmosphere that values virtue and goodness, aspires to emulate the virtuous, and promotes morality throughout society. With approval from central leaders, we are now launching the selection and commendation activities for the 9th National Moral Model. The relevant matters are notified as follows.
